Responsible Minerals Sourcing Policy

Tianma Japan prevents from using raw materials or components which contains minerals that could become the financial source for organizations involved in conflicts, human rights abuses, environmental destruction and corruption in Democratic Republic of the Congo and adjoining countries or Conflict Affected and High-Risk Areas (CAHRAs). We cooperate with our business partners and related industry organizations to establish a responsible supply chain, and to source minerals under the Due Diligence Guidance published by Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

Our Activities

■Tianma Japan requires our business partners to conduct investigations and evaluations on mineral risks in our supply chain, by using CMRT (Conflict Minerals Reporting Template) and CRT (Cobalt Reporting Template) provided by RMI (Responsible Minerals Initiative). The minerals to be investigated includes 3TG (tin, tantalum, tungsten, gold) and cobalt that mined in those regions, but the range of target minerals may expand in order to meet the request from related industry organizations or customers.

■Tianma Japan requires our business partners to always check the latest information of RMI conformant smelters and prevent sourcing from non-conformant smelters. Prompt corrective action will be kindly taken by the business partners when mineral risk is found during the investigation, including the exclusion of non-conformant smelters.

Requirement to Our Business Partners

Tianma Japan will provide a final investigation report to customer’s request based on the result from our business partners. We kindly ask our business partners to understand and agree with our policies and activities, and to work for a responsible mineral sourcing including the supply chains of our business partners.
